As the sun rises over the Queenscliff Beach, we can’t help but feel gratitude for the incredible community that surrounds us here. We’re taking a stroll down memory lane to reflect on our 15-year affiliation with Queenscliff Surf Club, and it’s a relationship that goes beyond business sponsorship—it’s a partnership built on shared values, community spirit, and, of course, a love for the sun, sand, and surf.
15 Years of Support, 15 Years of Community
You might already know that Cunninghams have been proud sponsors of the Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club (QSLSC) for a decade and a half now. But did you know that our connection with the club is more than just a logo on a banner? It’s a community bond that has grown over years of support, shared experiences, fun carnivals and even a few adrenaline-pumping rescues from our founder John Cunningham whilst surfing with some of the young club members.
When we say we are part of the Queenscliff family, we mean it. It’s in the involvement at club events, the commitment to supporting the young members through the Peter Daley scholarship, the determination of the lifesavers of all ages and competitors in training, and the amazing life preserving commitment that they all make.
A Community Affair
But our connection with Queenscliff doesn’t stop at the surf club. We’re equally proud to sponsor the Queenscliff Amateur Swimming Club and the Queenscliff Boardriders Club. Our relationship with the trifecta of water based sports clubs has allowed us to be more than just spectators; many of our team have become active participants in this local sporting scene. From cheering on swimmers to watching local talents giving it a go in competitions and charity surfing events, our ties with these clubs have made us feel part of Queenscliff’s vibrant culture.
For those of you who don’t know, our Manly office is just a short walk away on Pittwater Road. This proximity allows us to engage with the Queenscliff community at an even more intimate level. We’re not just weekend visitors; we’re weekday locals too with a significant bunch of us calling Queenscliff, Manly and Freshwater home!
We’ve held countless events and training days at the Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club, turning this much-loved community space into an extension of our own office. Whether it’s an informative night for our clients or community or an off-site brainstorming session for our staff, Queenscliff has become our home away from home. There’s something magically collaborative about discussing property trends with the ocean as your backdrop!
