April has arrived and the Autumn holidays are approaching fast. With Easter celebrations on and out of town vacations happening again, it’s a busy time of year! For those of us staying local, there is so much to enjoy in the Northern Beaches’ natural environment and school holidays are the perfect opportunity to get out and explore walking tracks, bike trails, swimming coves and surfing breaks. We certainly are spoilt for choice!
There are also some great family-friendly activities and events coming up on the Northern Beaches, sure to please energetic kids over the holidays. Here are 8 fun things to do on the Northern Beaches these school holidays.

1. Big Air Bike Park
Big Air Bike Park – Sydney’s world-class indoor bike park has just opened up in Brookvale. A 1200 square metre facility dedicated to biking and learning how to bike. You can book 2 or 3 hour sessions and hire gear is available or bring your own. Adventurous kids and adults alike are going to love this place.

2. Treetops Adventure
Treetops Adventure Park at St Ives Showground provides a new experience to explore along the southern border of Ku-ring-gai National Park. St Ives is Treetops newest Tree Ropes Course Park, hosting 95+ aerial obstacles and 10+ ziplines, all suspended between platforms to create a maze of activities in the treetops. Courses start at 1m for little climbers and jump up to 15 metres for bigger adventurers.
3. BMX Bike Park Terrey Hills
This outdoor facility is a tucked-away gem and is one of the best of its kind in Sydney. There is a small circuit and a more advanced circuit which means it’s a great place to take both younger and older kids.
