Looking for something to do? Here are some Covid-safe activities for the whole family

03 August 2021

While Sydney is currently in lockdown (again), we thought we would give you some covid-safe lockdown activities for this time. As the advice is changing regularly, we recommend you keep checking the NSW Government website for the latest health advice to ensure that you are following the health orders and only leaving the house when necessary.

Fine dining at home

While dining out isn’t an option, some restaurants have adapted the way they operate to bring the dining experience into our homes. Many local restaurants and catering companies have updated their menus and have delivery or pick up options available, see below for a few around the area:

Pilu
Frenchies
Coya
Mint Tea & Rosewater catering
Barbuto
Eat Graze Love
Ormeggio
Providoor
Paddock to Plate
Queen Chow

Gardening

Are you in isolation and can’t get what you need to finish that gardening job you’ve been meaning to? Eazyware is a fast and easy delivery service that will pick up supplies from the hardware store or nursery and deliver to your door! Your first delivery is free – Click here and enter the code ‘lockdown’ at the checkout.

Library2U Service

If you are a Northern Beaches resident and hold a current library membership, the Northern Beaches Council and local libraries run a service where you can reserve books and have them delivered to your door. Click here to find out more.

Playgrounds

Some good news for parents is that, unlike last lockdown, playgrounds are still open across the Northern Beaches. While the Northern Beaches Council states that if a playground is busy, you should leave and return at another time, if you are able to socially distance from other household groups and get out of the house for an hour, it will help kids and their parents enormously. Click here for more information and to find a playground nearby.
