– Hi, I’m Georgi Bates from Cunninghams and together with John, Matt, and Michelle, we’re bringing you a series of bite-sized market updates to wrap up and say goodbye to 2020.
Today, I’ll be talking about why the Northern Beaches have performed so strongly, more strongly than anywhere else in New South Wales.
This year, over 62% of buyer inquiry has been coming from outside of the Northern beaches, predominantly the North shore and Eastern suburbs. And we’re expecting a vast return from expats from overseas.
I hear you ask, “So why are buyers embarking in a sea change and making a move to our beautiful beaches?”
Many people experienced isolation in some form during Covid-19, which made it more appealing to live closer to the beach. People are looking for flexible spaces in their homes, many people having to set up office space and no longer needing to commute into the city.
And one thing we absolutely love at Cunninghams is the Northern Beaches’ community spirit and support.
Who recalls the time that the unicorn man traveled the streets of Fairlight and into Manly, bringing surprise to the families that have been in isolation?
Community Co-op Northern Beaches, which helps feed vulnerable people in our community. Many of these groups, which have really suffered for fundraising events due to many cancellations, of course, they continually are going to need your support going into the following year.
