After 40 years working at the top end of property in the city and around the country, and after most of this year working from home, I’ve made the call to “sea change” my career, make it simpler, more personal and more fun. A complete lifestyle change.
When I heard Cunninghams were coming to Avalon, I was immediately interested in the opportunity. Cunninghams has a great reputation across the industry and the Avalon Office was to be headed locally by Jonathan Fletcher, whose work I’ve admired over the years. I thrilled to join the Cunninghams team and continue my real estate career along the Upper Northern Beaches.
Most of you would know I’ve worked somewhere in property, some may think I was just a singer? But the reality is I’ve had a celebrious career in property development and have been accredited with ”spearheading the modern era of project marketing in Australia”, revolutionizing the way property was marketed and sold in Australia.
Along the way I’d become an expert at planning and design of residential property to maximise its marketability and profitability. I’ve held a number of industry and Government appointments such as a medium density committee member of the UDIA (Urban Development Institute of Australia) and have guest Lectured at UNE and UNI of NSW in the role of Market Design in Planning and Property Development.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have worked on, and had integral Design & Marketing roles on projects such as Bennelong, King Street Wharf, Paddington Green, Lumiere, Greencliffe, Observatory Tower, Horizon Darlinghurst, Mezzo, Glebe Harbour, Sydney Star Casino, the Beach House Bondi and also worked with incredible Architects such as Harry Seidler, John Richardson, Greg Crone, Nick Turner, Brian Meyersen, Dennis Rabinowitz, Adam Haddow SJB, Guy Lake & Phillip Vivian Bates Smart, Jeremy Bishop NT, Alec Tzannes, BKH, Chrofi and many others.
In terms of individual sales, records include the highest price for an apartment in Australia (Bennelong Penthouse, a premium of 40%), the highest Price North of the Harbour Bridge (apartments in Bower St Manly a premium of 75%). I also have record sales in Dulwich Hill, Vaucluse, Glebe, Pyrmont and more.
