Rewarding Experience
Dear John,
Today I settle on the purchase of a unit in Dee Why. It would be remise of me not to share with you the valued and rewarding experience that I've had.
Approximtaely ten weeks ago I started searching the internet for an investment unit. I started making phone calls and attending open for inspections. Not all agencies return calls nor do they keep to their advertised open for inspections. This is not the case with Cunninghams Property. Matt Cleland called me and discussed my requirements, he invited me to look at a property being sold by Eddy Piddington in Dee Why. Upon meeting Eddy, I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge of the area. Discussions followed and his responsiveness to my queries was exceptional. My confidence built with Eddy and I signed a contract of purchase.
Very soon after I was introduced to the rental team of Carly Collins and Elliott Shoebridge. They swiftly found suitable tenants and their sound and honest communication was exceptional. During the settlement period, Eddy would often call to ensure all my needs were met.
Cunninghams Property provided me with open and honest professionals and the level of communication between the parties was outstanding. While the house may have been expected to sell because of it’s location, Eddie made sure that the marketing encouraged an offer that was at the top of his ( & our ) expectations, rather than, say a median offer. As a result of his efforts, he negotiated a sale for us at a figure above those expectations ... in a matter of days!! And at all times we were told how the potential sale / auction was progressing. We had no hesitation in accepting ( on his advice & with our agreement ) the pre auction offer.

We had owned our property for nearly 20 years and came to a decision in early 2013 to move further up the peninsular for a lifestyle change. We had met James a couple of years earlier on a separate transaction and were impressed with his energy and communication skills. He was one of 3 agents we tendered for the sale of our property and selected him largely because of that energetic and committed personal style.
From the outset we were very impressed with James and the Cunninghams approach: James was very sensitive to our core requirements and spent time providing very good input on pricing and the market and on the tactical and human issues associated with buying and selling and developing a campaign. We felt that the process was a very collaborative one and we really appreciated the fact that each stage of the process was very clearly outlined. We were introduced to Amy who gave practical and achievable advice on property styling, and Tracy who was the ideal presenter for the property – friendly, positive and highly professional. All in all we felt in very safe hands with the whole Cunninghams team. The feedback after each open inspection was always quick and comprehensive - it was very useful to get reports not just on viewer numbers and their subsequent interest levels, but on their general impressions of the property in terms of presentation, and their price expectations.
We were obviously delighted when, 3 weeks into the auction campaign, James delivered the news of interested parties for the property. We were very happy that a quick and very positive negotiated settlement was achieved, 2 weeks prior to auction. The quick sale also mitigated the advertising costs and the inevitable disruption to ‘normal life’ that a sale process entails.
Subsequently, the contact and support of the whole Cunninghams team was maintained right through to the settlement process.
We’d certainly recommend the team (James and Tracy) to anyone wishing to sell their property. The strategy adopted for our house was correct and the adherence to the strategy paid out in the result. Both James and Tracy are a pleasure to work with, and showed exceptional levels of commitment and professionalism during the sale process.
